Cat Boarding Checklist, What to Pack and Prepare

ฝากเลี้ยงแมวชลบุรี

Before a trip, most cat owners worry about the same things. Will my cat eat? Will they be stressed? A little preparation before cat boarding helps your cat settle faster and gives you peace of mind. Here is a checklist you can use whether you board with Pet’s Place or anywhere else.

What to pack for cat boarding

  • Your cat’s usual food Enough for the whole stay plus one or two extra days. A sudden change of food can upset the stomach or put a cat off eating.
  • Medication and supplements With clear written doses and times.
  • Something that smells like home A blanket, bed or favourite toy helps a lot in the first days.
  • A secure carrier for the trip there and back.
  • Vaccination record or health book.
  • Contact details for you, a backup person and your regular vet.

Health checks before the stay

  • Vaccinations up to date.
  • Deworming and flea and tick prevention on schedule. Pet’s Place does not accept cats with fleas or ticks, to protect other guests.
  • If your cat was recently ill or had surgery, ask your vet whether they are ready to board.

Requirements differ between hotels, so always check before your booking date.

Tell the team about your cat

  • Personality, such as shy, affectionate, or places they do not like being touched.
  • Feeding times and amounts.
  • The litter they use.
  • Any health conditions or symptoms to watch for.

For senior cats, cats with health conditions or anxious cats, our Tailor-Made Care adjusts care to each cat.

How to choose a cat hotel

  • Private rooms Cats need their own space. Sharing with unfamiliar cats causes stress and raises the risk of illness.
  • A quiet setting away from barking dogs.
  • Daily updates with photos, videos and notes on eating and litter habits.
  • Carers who understand cats and notice early signs of a problem.

At Pet’s Place, our cat hotel has five room sizes, every room is private, and cats are cared for by an owner trained as a Cat Sitter. We send photo and video updates every day. See our dog and cat hotel.

On check-in day

  • Give a light meal before travelling to reduce motion sickness.
  • Keep goodbyes short and calm, since cats pick up on your worry.
  • If you would like your cat to come home clean and fresh, book a bath or cat grooming before pick-up.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book

Rooms fill quickly around long weekends and holidays, so book on LINE @petsplace as soon as you know your dates.

Will my cat eat on the first day

Some cats eat less on the first day in a new place, which is normal. Their usual food and familiar-smelling items help a lot, and our team will let you know if anything seems wrong.

Can two cats share a room

Yes, if they come from the same home and already get along. Larger rooms suit cats that stay together. Ask us which size fits best.
