Many cats keep their coats in good shape on their own, but long-haired cats, senior cats and cats living in Thailand’s heat often need a little help. Professional cat grooming in Chonburi keeps your cat comfortable, prevents painful mats and makes home care much easier. At Pet’s Place Grooming Spa & Hotel, we groom cats gently and at their own pace.
Why some cats need grooming
- Matted fur Tight mats pull on the skin, cause pain and can hide skin irritation underneath.
- Fewer hairballs Long-haired cats swallow a lot of fur while licking. A trim reduces how much they swallow.
- Hot weather Thick-coated cats often feel more comfortable with a shorter coat in the hot season.
- Hygiene A sanitary trim around the rear and belly keeps things clean.
- Senior cats Older cats groom themselves less, so their coats mat more easily.
How we groom cats at Pet’s Place
- Separate bathing rooms for cats and dogs for hygiene, and so cats are not stressed by the sound or smell of dogs.
- Groomers who understand cat behaviour Our team trained with an instructor from Ministry of Cat, a well-known cat care school in Thailand.
- No rushing We use warm water and gentle tools, and dry each cat calmly so they stay relaxed.
- Show-grade products Mild shampoos and conditioners that suit sensitive skin.
- Basic skin check We look for redness, dandruff or unusual hair loss during grooming and let you know, so you can see a vet early if needed.
Popular cat grooming styles
- Full-body trim Shortens the coat for easier care while keeping a fluffy look.
- Lion cut Short body, with fur left on the head, paws and tail tip. Popular for long-haired cats in the hot season.
- Sanitary trim Around the rear, belly and paws.
- Mat removal For cats whose fur has matted beyond brushing.
Our team will suggest the style that suits your cat’s coat, health and temperament before we start.
Add a spa
After grooming, cats can enjoy a spa treatment. Velvet Matte Spa is made for cats and reduces oiliness in specific areas, which suits unneutered cats or cats with oily coats. See all treatments on our spa page.
Frequently asked questions
How long does cat grooming take
A cat bath usually takes about 1 to 2 hours. A trim can take longer, depending on the coat and how relaxed your cat is.
Do you groom aggressive cats
We do not accept aggressive cats, or cats with fleas or ticks, for the safety of every pet and our team. Nervous or shy cats are welcome, and our groomers know how to help them relax.
Can my cat stay overnight and be groomed before going home
Yes. We have a cat hotel with five room sizes, so your cat can stay with us and be groomed before pick-up. See our dog and cat hotel.
